The Parish Home, Church and Hall buildings of St. George are in need of repair. The Parish Home was found to have several problems when a mold issue was revealed and studied. The home needs to be reinsulated, attic insulation taken out, some new windows and doors, the basement, not the foundation, repaired, mold remediated among many other things. There has been leakage around the edges of the roof and the cupola of the Church. Early last fall technicians caulked these suspected areas, and some of the leaking has been stopped. This is something that needs to be done every year. There is also mortar coming loose from between the bricks of the Church and the bricks on the hall which are showing signs of aging. This spring, summer and fall we plan to address as many of these problems as possible. A budget of $55,000 was set at the annual meeting for building repairs. After studying and receiving estimates for repair of the parish home, that will simply not be enough. We are hoping to raise at this time as much funding as possible for this project. If God so moves your heart, please consider giving toward this cause. On checks, please designate with “Building Repair Project.” Thank you so much!
